Christmas Tree Tax Nixed, Obama Administration Get Criticism
World Trending | Christmas Tree Tax Nixed - Obama administration got some criticism on taxing Christmas trees, unfortunatelly the White House made statement it was reversing its decision to approve an industry-sponsored Christmas tree promotion program. This decisions has made after conservatives accused the Agriculture Department of spoiling Christmas with a new tree tax.
Actually the program it self would have been fully funded by fees on the industry at 15 cents per Christmas tree sold. And they look for the USDA for this program. In the way Matt Lehrich the White House spokesman said the USDA would delay the program, but defended it, saying it was not a tax. "I can tell you unequivocally that the Obama administration is not taxing Christmas trees," as he said.

The medication that is ‘best for treating bipolar disorder’
By Liz Lockhart
Bipolar Disorder | Bipolar Disorder Medication | Best Medication Bipolar Disorder - When people with bipolar disorder have episodes of mania, not all mood stabilising drugs are effective according to a new analysis.
An article published in the Pulse says that NICE guidelines currently do not recommend using any particular drug for acute mania. But in data the researchers say may change clinical guidelines, they found antipsychotics such as risperidone, haloperidol and planzapine were the most effective at treating acute mania, compared with placebo.
Published in The Lancet the systematic review looked at 68 randomised controlled trials of thirteen anti-mania drugs and compared their efficacy with placebo. The trials took place over a 20 year period and ended in 2010. It included male and female patients who were over the age of 18 and who had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder according to the standard diagnostic criteria.
The researched measured the mean change in scores on the Young Mania Rating Scale to gauge the efficiency of the different drugs. They also calculated the patient tolerability to the drugs by recording the number of patients who dropped out of the allocated treatment within the first three weeks. For each of these criteria the drugs were allotted a comparative score out of 50.
Antipsychotic drugs averaged a combined score of 84 whilst other mood stabilisers averaged 31. This indicated that antipsychotic drugs are significantly more effective in the treatment of acute mania. The drugs risperidone, haloperidol and planzapine proved to be the most effective. These drugs were the top scoring with a score of 87, 79 and 75 respectively.
BestBuy | iPhone 3GS Free | BestBuy to sell iPhone 3GS for free - Even as the entire world waits on Apple to finally release the long delayed iPhone 5, the 2009 version of Apple's smartphone is still being sold over at AT&T. The iPhone 3GS has been priced at $49 with a new two year contract for a while now but starting today that changes, at least for one retailer. AllThingsDigital.com reports that Best Buy will being selling the iPhone 3GS with 8 GB of hard drive space for the price of ... nothing. Not a single cent.
Of course, there are a couple of catches to this deal. One of them is that the customer must sign on or upgrade to a new two year contract for AT&T in order to get the iPhone 3GS for free. The other catch is that there are no online sales for this deal. You have to go to one of Best Buy's stores in order to secure your free iPhone.
Many people, we suspect, might be happy with the iPhone 3GS even as Apple gets closer to the launch of the iPhone 5. As a result some retailers have cut the price of both the iPhone 3GS and current version, the iPhone 4. Last July we reported that Radio Shack and Target had cut the price of getting an iPhone 3GS down to just $19.99 and the price of the iPhone 4 by $30 to $50, depending on which one you visited. We will likely see even more retailers taking discounts on older iPhones before the iPhone 5's launch which is now expected to be announced in September and released in early October.

After a big rise, wholesale prices of used cars are finally starting to fall a little. It should moderate, or at least slow, rocketing retail used-car prices -- what you'll pay -- that are up more than 30% this year.
At the wholesale level, used car prices fell another $300 in June and are now more than $600 below their April peak for the year so far, says Tom Kontos of Adesa's consulting arm. Adesa itself is one of the nation's largest wholesale sellers of used cars.
Even though wholesale used-car prices have tapered off, don't expect the party to last. "Tight used vehicle supplies plus strong retail demand should keep used vehicle prices from dropping dramatically," Kontos writes in a note to the industry.
And while used-car prices are starting to slack off, retail used vehicle sales in July still were higher, up 17.8% year-over-year at new-car dealers' used-car lots and up 10.7% for independent dealers.
On a month-over-month basis, used vehicle sales were up for both groups as well. "Certified" used vehicle sales in July were up 1.4% versus June, registering their strongest showing of the year for these automaker-sponsored programs, according to Autodata.
Sounds like the "mild recovery" that economists keep saying is happening is at least still taking place for the auto industry
Cisco Systems (CSCO) Fiscal Q4 Tops Estimates Excluding Charges
Cisco Systems (CSCO) announced Wednesday fiscal fourth quarter earnings that were down from a year ago, but topped estimates.
For the fourth quarter the networking equipment company said earnings were $1.2 billion or 22 cents a share, down from $1.9 billion or 33 cents a share a year ago. The latest quarter’s results included a $772 million charge before taxes for one-time cost related to the 6,500 jobs eliminated during the period. Excluding that charge, Cisco earned 40 cents a share, topping analyst estimates for 38 cents a share. Estimates generally exclude one-time costs.
Revenue rose 3.3 percent in the period to $11.2 billion, which also exceeded analyst estimates for $11 billion. However, sales of switches fell 4 percent to $3.44 billion.
Many of Cisco’s competitors in the networking space have posted sagging revenue and soft outlooks. Cisco has worked to reduce expenses in the past quarter, including the large layoff last month to become leaner as the economy has fluttered.
“As we start our next fiscal year, you will see a very focused, agile, lean and aggressive company,” said Cisco CEO John Chambers statement.
Jennifer Love Hewitt 'Client List' Picked Up as New TV Series
Jennifer Love Hewitt 'Client List' - Jennifer Love Hewitt has officially found a new starring vehicle for her next major TV gig after "Ghost Whisperer" was canceled last year. Lifetime picks up "The Client List", a new hourlong series starring and executive produced by the 32-year-old beauty.
The show is based on the network's 2010 original movie of the same title which also has Hewitt as lead star and executive producer. It features the "I Know What You Did Last Summer" actress as a financially-strapped Texas housewife who runs a lively day spa after she is abandoned by her husband.
The series will follow her as she balances two different lives: one as a single mom in a conservative town struggling to provide for her family, and the other as an ambitious businesswoman working with a rowdy, sexy and unpredictable group of women.
Lifetime has ordered ten episodes for the series which will debut sometime in 2012. The network also has a deal with Jennifer Love Hewitt production company Fedora Films which includes a directing gig for Hewitt on a future Lifetime movie.
Following the end of "Ghost Whisperer", Jennifer Love Hewitt appeared on "Love Bites" and "Hot in Cleveland" for an episode each. She recently produced and starred in CBS' TV movie "The Lost Valentine" which also features Betty White.
Rebecca Black Friday - Teen music artist Rebecca Black has been forced to leave her high school in Anaheim, Calif. after being bullied relentlessly for her hit single "Friday," ABC News reports.
Black's mother, a teacher, pulled her daughter from school and is now homeschooling her to avoid bullies and focus on her career, she told Nightline.
Black's "Friday" music video went viral in March, and since then, the artist says she's been the target of school bullies who would tease her about the single.
"When I walk by they'll start singing 'Friday' in a really nasally voice," she told Nightline. "Or, you know, they'll be like, 'Oh hey, Rebecca, guess what day it is?'"
Rebecca Black also received death threats in April, which elicited local police investigations.
"It really sucks being bullied," Black says in a behind-the-scenes look of her new music video, "This is My Moment," last month. "But one thing that you can't do is let them stop you from doing what you want to do."
"Primetime Nightline: Celebrity Secrets" airs the full interview with Black tonight on its special, "Underage and Famous."

Weeds | Weeds Season 7 Premier | Watch Weeds - "Weeds" is back for its seventh season on Showtime and in the usual fashion, the Botwin family members are up to most unusual things.
It's three years later and Nancy is out of prison and serving the remainder of her manslaughter sentence in a New York City halfway house, since Esteban was conveniently killed in prison and his minions disbanded.
The Botwin boys plus Doug are living the high life in Copenhagen, Denmark. Shane is working as a puppeteer with an older woman named Renatta, which ... of course that's what Shane is up to. In the time jump, he would be 18 now, but he's still sort of Nancy's little boy, as he doesn't even hesitate to book a ticket to the U.S. upon learning of her release.
Andy is still wildly in love with Nancy and jumps at the chance to go with Shane, though he says it's because Shane needs him. We're hoping those two crazy kids can work things out.
Silas still kinda hates his mom and has found gainful employment as a spokesmodel for a flower water beverage. Not much is made of his last-season discovery about his real father, so we hope that gets revisited as the season progresses.
Oh and Nancy's lovely sister Jill has, well, kind of kidnapped Stevie. She's been raising him while Nancy was in the pokey and has been telling him that Nancy is his aunt. Ouch.
But the big news is that whilst in prison, Nancy cozied up to her cellmate. Now that Nancy's out, said lady friend has sent her on a bit of a scavenger hunt. What was the buried treasure? A suitcase full of guns and grenades. Is Nancy an arms dealer now?
What did you think of the premiere? Excited to see what kind of shenanigans the Botwins are up to this year?
Get Cheap Airline Tickets | Cheap Tickets | Airline Cheap Ticket - Summer is here and it's time pack things and heed for your vacation or to your homes if your a student. But if you don't have tickets yet chances are cheap tickets are gone at this time. Lucky if your a air tickets sniper.
Be patient to compare quotes from several travel aggregator websites, as one might offer a lower fare.
Check Orbitz.com, Cheapflights.com or travelvelocity.com
For local flights in the US, check smaller airlines like Airtran.com or Southwest airlines for cheaper airline tickets.
Here is the nine golden rule to combat high summer airline tickets that helps you avoid potential summer travel headaches.
1. Always Be flexible - understand how airlines price their flights, on both departure time, dates and destinations, prices can vary by $100′s of dollars per person to different locations on different departure days. Late night departure usually priced low on domestic flights. Use the internet and start your research on understanding airline ticket pricing.
2. Shop and Buy early – If you book early chances are you got lower price tickets, procrastination will not lead you to expect to pay a premium especially for those convenient nonstops. Don’t Wait If You See a Good Price - good deals don’t last longer until you can negotiate with your significant other later tonight (by shopping early you’ll have a good idea what is a good price)
3. Buy Airline Tickets on Dips - Sign up for newsletter alerts on Airline tickets aggregators like Orbitz.com to let you know of price deals. Use technology Google Alerts to notify you when airline discount their flights.

5. Shop Tuesday 3pm – when most airlines have matched airfare sales initiated by at least one airline late Monday night (sales are very limited for Summer)
6. Avoid weekend shopping – airlines typically pull the few summer discounted flights they have on Thursday night leaving higher prices in the reservation systems on weekends
7. Be Prepared for Packed Summer Planes – have an air travel backup plan once you buy your tickets. Summer thunderstorms and the new 3 hour tarmac rule may have you stuck at the airport for days
8. Ease your Baggage or Pack Light - don’t get hit with $50 roundtrip first checked bag fees at the airport
9. Use Your Miles - if you are a frequent traveler use those miles or those of a friend (even offer to compensate them or even you need just a few you can buy.
Last year, RipTen reviewed Transformers: War for Cybertron and we liked it very much. High Moon Studios clearly made the best Transformers game made to date. It had lush visuals and really captured the essence of what Transformers is, both in style and story. Since High Moon did such an amazing job with the franchise, it only made sense that Activision would have the studio work on this year’s Bayformers movie-tie in game, Transformers: Dark of the Moon.
Although there are a few things wrong with this game, in my eyes these problems do not necessarily lie on the developer High Moon Studios. Transformers: Dark of the Moon is a very playable game, but may be more of a sleeping aide than it is an action packed robot shooter.
Like its predecessor, Dark of the Moon is a third-person shooter, allowing you to quickly switch between vehicle and robot form at any time. The game’s mechanics and weapons are all very similar to War for Cybertron and it plays exactly like it. The only major change to the mechanics are that your vehicle has a “Stealth Force” mode, giving you guns and rockets to make you less vulnerable. They had something like this in WFC, but the new movie has added this mode, so naturally it would be featured in the game as well.
Transformers: Dark of the Moon plays and feels exactly like War for Cybertron. So far, so good right? … wrong! Dark of the Moon is seriously brought down by its visuals and level design. Instead of awesome robot battles on a lush and colorful battlefield, we are set to fight on Earth. The visuals make it look like every shooter you have ever seen. A massive amount of brown mixed with dull colors, boring broken cities and plain open dirt fields. On top of that, the Transformers’ designs are just plain hideous. Maybe you like the movie designs, but in my opinion they look like a kid chugging Mountain Dew (and snorting cocaine) created them. Granted, these things are not High Moon Studios’ fault, as they were working with the movie’s set-in-stone assets.
In fact, I would like to commend them for doing what they could with what has already been established. They did an amazing job modeling the movie Transformers- the character models themselves are rich in detail. What I will put the blame on High Moon, however, is the level design. The level design is extremely boring and provides a watered-down experience. In every mission The Transformers go from point A to point B to hack satellites and drive real fast to go stop some sort of attack. It’s utterly boring.
Boss battles exist but are taken straight out the books of 10 year old games. Most of them consist of circle-strafing and blasting at your opponent until he eventually dies. I would like to be extra hard on the shitty boss battles in this game because, once again, War for Crybertron did them 100 times better! Check out this video of a boss battle in WFC (You fight Trypticon, a mother-fuckin’ Dinosoaur robot) compared to the this terrible boss battle in DotM :
You can really tell which corners are cut in order to pump a game out in one year. The quality difference between War for Cybertron and Dark of the Moon is like night and day. I know that if High Moon had more time to finish the game, it could have been a spectacular follow-up.
With the negative aspects out of the way, the single player campaign is indeedvery playable. If you’re a fan of Transformers (and can tolerate the movies and its designs) then it’s worth checking out. However, I cannot recommend this at a $60 price tag though; I finished the campaign in 4 hours, which seems to be a disgusting new trend with games. I jumped into this game blindly, since I loved High Moon’s previous Transformers game, which lasted me at least 8 hours and countless hours with the online multiplayer.
The game features the same multiplayer from War for Cybertron, which is actually a robust online experience. This game takes pretty much that same experience and pastes it into here. All of the maps consist of levels from the single player campaign, which is pretty lazy. Once again, they are all made of nasty colors and boring level design. In terms of gameplay- there are four classes, and the game allows you to customize your look, weapons, and perks. I won’t go much into detail, since if you have played WFC, you know exactly what you are getting into with this multiplayer. It’s a nice add-on value to the game, but don’t expect to see many people online in about a month.
Transformers: Dark of the Moon is not necessarily a bad game at all. It’s merely disappointing. In comparison to previous Transformer movie tie-ins (not developed by High Moon), this one blows those out of the water. Unfortunately, we all know what High Moon is capable of and how seriously they take the Transformers universe. It’s sad that they were forced to pump out a game out with such little development time. If you really like the universe, it’s a nice weekend distraction and I recommend it for a rent. Take my advice; go to a Redbox, rent the game for $2 and beat it in one day. That way you can be happy with yourself for only spending $2 on a game that is only worth $20.
Here’s the rundown:
+Fun little weekend distraction
+ Multiplayer is god for what it is
- Movie-style Transformers
- Boring level design
- Four hour campaign
Transformers: Dark of the Moon was developed by High Moon Studios and published by Activision. It was released for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on June 14th, 2011 in the US. The copy used for review was bought by the reviewer. Campaign was played until completion, taking around 4 hours to finish. Multiplayer was played for about 3 hours online.

Albany Shocks World by Bringing Gay Marriage To New York
Good Lord, how often is it the New York state legislature makes you proud?
World Trend Info On Gay Marriage | Gay Marriage To New York | Albany Shocks World by Bringing Gay Marriage To New York - The Republican-controlled state Senate voted 32-29 late Friday night to bring gay marriage to New York. The vote came after a long, messy week in which the Republicans fretted endlessly about whether Hasidic florists would be forced to provide flowers to gay weddings, but in the end, they came through and actually did something that was cutting edge and at least a little bit brave. Can't remember the last time that happened.
There was that time in 1970 - I wasn't actually here, but I've been told - that the lawmakers passed a groundbreaking abortion rights law. The bill seemed doomed to lose on a tie vote in the House until George Michaels, who represented a conservative upstate district, rose and announced, near tears, that he was voting yes. "I realize I am terminating my political career, but I cannot in good conscience sit here and allow my vote to be the one that defeats this bill," he said.
Michaels was right about his political career. It's not really likely anyone in the state Senate will have to make that kind of sacrifice. The public is way ahead of the pols on this one.
But maybe you could argue that the 2011 George Michaels was Senator Roy McDonald of Saratoga, a Republican who was the first to announce that he was changing his vote to "yes."
"Well, fuck it, I don't care what you think. I'm trying to do the right thing," he told reporters. It wasn't "Give me liberty or give me death," but it was very Albany.
Playing the part usually reserved for the Archbishop of New York was the Archbishop of New York, Timothy Dolan, who penned an opinion piece claiming that the legislature was behaving like the government of North Korea, a comparison that seemed to smack of a bit of desperation.
It's easy to overestimate the amount of political courage it required for former opponents to flip on this highly charged issue. (Queens Democrat Carl Kruger would have found it hard to maintain his anti-gay-marriage stance once it was revealed that he shares his own home with two male gynecologists and their mother.)
Wavering lawmakers were given polls showing that their constituents wanted the bill to pass. Even more important, wealthy Republican donors promised financial support for gay marriage backers.
But there's never going to be a danger that New Yorkers would overestimate the virtues of their state legislators. This is the rare, rare moment when we get to acknowledge that they actually have some. Good for them. And good for Gov. Andrew Cuomo, for making this a top priority and figuring out how to push the gay marriage bill through.
It's a big, big deal. The country is ready to acknowledge the right of gay couples to marry. For young people, it's a no-brainer. For those of us who are older, a lifetime of experience has taught us that gay Americans are our friends, our neighbors, our relatives, and maybe our children. But change has been thwarted by the structure of our politics, which give disproportionate strength to tiny slivers of voters.
We needed some stalwart lawmakers to break the jam. Who would have imagined we'd find them in Albany?

After T.J. shows Deuce his boat, or "float crib," the pair go to a coffee shop where they get high and bump into Heinz Hummer, a German gigolo. After leaving the coffee shop, Deuce finds Hummer dead in an alley, but thinks he is merely stoned and takes the dead gigolo to T.J.'s float crib, until T.J. gets back and immediately realizes that Hummer is dead. T.J. who plans to dump the body, but skeptical of Hummer's reputation of being well-endowed, pauses to unzip his pants and examine his genitalia. Unfortunately he is caught by a tour boat and is subsequently labeled by the media as a gay gigolo killer. T.J. escapes, but Deuce is apprehended and taken to the police station where he is interviewed by Gaspar Voorsboch, a police inspector who wants to know of T.J.'s whereabouts.
Upon his release from the police station, Deuce finds T.J. at a restaurant and recalls that he saw the real killer walking away from Hummer's body. Deuce says it was a woman, so they both figure it was a she-john, a former client of the murdered gigolo. T.J. convinces Deuce to help find the real killer by becoming a gigolo again, visiting the former clients and "rooting" out the killer. They attend a meeting of the Royal Order Of European Man Whores (an organization of male prostitutes), but fail to procure a list of the clients. Afterwards, they get the list from Antoine, the professional gigolo who appeared in the first film.
Deuce and T.J. visit the first client on the list. While Deuce distracts the woman T.J. breaks into her residence and finds a brand of lipstick which might be the kind found on all the victims. After leaving, Deuce finds Gaspar on the street and shows him the lipstick. Gaspar throws the lipstick in the trash, but mentions that the lipstick found on the victims "is a very rare one: Lavender Love #66". As Gaspar enters the police station, his niece, Eva, approaches him and gives him his lunch. Eva slaps herself three times. Deuce helps her pick up the things she dropped, and Eva explains to Deuce that she has obsessive-compulsive disorder. Fish-enthusiast Deuce sees that she has a painting of a fish, so they go to the Amsterdam aquarium together. Later, Deuce continues to investigate different women from Antoine's book, including a woman named Svetlana who was born near Chernobyl and has a very active penis for a nose, a hunchbacked woman, a woman with a tracheotomy, and a woman with gigantic ears.
While visiting Eva, Deuce is snooping around and finds evidence implicating Eva. Deuce then rushes to the police department and tells Gaspar that he thinks Eva is the man-whore killer. Gaspar is reluctant to believe this, and even drops many hints that he himself is the man-whore killer, but Deuce remains clueless.
At the ceremony, Deuce evacuates the building and gets into a swordfight with Gaspar. Gaspar beats Deuce, but before he can detonate the bomb, the woman with a penis for a nose and the woman with the tracheotomy arrive at the stage and distract Gaspar. Deuce then knocks out Gaspar with a trophy, taking the bomb detonator from him. For his bravery, Deuce is given the Golden Boner award - an explicit statue - and the respect of his fellow man-whores. He shares a passionate kiss with Eva, and accidentally sets off the bomb when the statue's penis bumps the detonator button. Deuce and Eva then promptly leave the scene. The following day, Deuce and Eva come to pick up T.J., who has been released from jail, and tells them that he is entering a brand new prostitution market: gay man-whoring. They all walk off as the screen fades to black.
World's media gets stuck into Karl Stefanovic for Dalai Lama joke
Dalai Lama joke | World's media gets stuck into Karl Stefanovic for Dalai Lama joke - KARL Stefanovic's ill-fated Dalai Lama joke has become a worldwide sensation.
Critics have panned the Gold Logie winner's joke, which went down like a lead balloon with the Buddhist leader.
The joke was: "The Dalai Lama walks into a pizza shop... and says, 'Can you make me one with everything?' "
The spiritual leader was confused, but laughed when the Today show host covered his face and conceded: "I knew that wouldn't work."
The joke is on Stefanovic, whose gaffe has been a hot topic on global websites.
The New York Times headlined its story: "How Not To Tell the Dalai Lama a Joke" while London's Sun wrote: "So is Stefanovic embarrassed by the gaffe? You'd Buddha believe it."
The Seattle Post said: "This might have gone better if the Dalai Lama understood the concept of pizza toppings."
Let's see: In the new Green Lantern movie, yellow is the color of fear. Green is the color of will.
So what is the color of tedium?
Well, green and yellow are a good start.
This is the summer's third comic-book movie but hardly the last one. I feel as though I need to post a running list of preferences, so readers will know where something ranks. Because really - most of these movies can't really be judged on any other scale except: Well, was it better than the last one?
But I don't need to do that with Green Lantern, since it's the least interesting of the summer's graphic-novel entries so far. It's a lot less involving than Thor - and shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence as X-Men: First Class.
Green Lantern suffers from a terminal case of origin-osis, the disease that infects super-hero movies forced to explain a character's origin. These movies tend to putter around for most of the film just waiting for the designated protagonist to discover that hero inside of himself. Yeah, sure, he's been chosen for one reason or another - but he doesn't really believe it until it's almost too late. Almost.
By that point, however, it's far too late for the audience. In the case of Green Lantern, you get an hour and 45 minutes of foreplay and then 15 minutes of action. Sure, there are a couple of moments that threaten premature pleasure - but Martin Campbell's movie (from a script by four writers including Dawson Creek's Greg Berlanti) never threatens to pop its cork for real.
Convicted Felon Claims Involvement in Tupac Shakur Shooting
A major clue in hip-hop's greatest unsolved crime has just been revealed -- maybe.
A man has claimed he was involved in the robbery and attack of rapper Tupac Shakur in NYC on November 30, 1994 -- sparking a feud that eventually led to the still-unsolved murders of both Shakur in 1996 and fellow rapper Notorious B.I.G. in 1997.
PHOTOS: Most shocking celebrity deaths of all time
Currently serving life in prison for murder, robbery and other crimes, Dexter Isaac tells AllHipHop.com that he was paid $2,500 by James "Jimmy Henchman" Rosemond to ambush Shakur at Manhattan's Quad Studios. Although he was shot five times, Shakur survived that attack.

"I want to apologize to his family [Tupac Shakur] and for the mistake I did for that sucker [Jimmy Henchman]," Isaac told AllHipHop.com from prison. "I am trying to clean it up to give [Tupac and Biggie's] mothers some closure."
The statute of limitations has now run out on that 1994 attack. Isaac says he's come forward now to clear his conscience and to prove the involvement of Rosemund, a former music mogul. He also denies Rosemund's claim that he is cooperating with the government in any investigation.

Thursday would have been Shakur's 40th birthday. The Associated Press reports that New York City Police have begun investigating Isaac's claims.
Unclaimed money | How and where to find Unclaimed Money - If you're a "Good Morning America" fan, you probably already know about this week's "Show Me the Money" series on helping people find unclaimed money.
So far, it's helped a Pennsylvania woman get her share of $16 billion in unredeemed U.S. Treasury bonds. On Thursday, it helped a West Virginia woman recover $15,000 that had been left for her when her mother died.
GMA's site has a lot of good tips on finding unclaimed property, if you look past all the hyper exclamation points. There's links for searching for unredeemed savings bonds, money from banks that went belly up, and proceeds from any lost life insurance policies. Other pots of cash can be found in apartment deposits and wills of people who died without beneificiaries.
If you're wondering how to search for unclaimed money in Washington, go here to the Department of Revenue's Claim Your Cash site.
U.S. Open golf 2011 TV coverage schedule, online streaming

For Thursday and Friday's coverage of the second major golf tournament of the season, ESPN will have coverage from 10 a.m. ET to 3 p.m. ET. NBC will take over for two hours, from 3 p.m. ET to 5 p.m. ET, and then it kicks back to ESPN for the last hour of coverage, from 5 p.m. ET to 6 p.m. ET. Which is weird, but there you go.

But if you'd like to watch when there isn't coverage (or you're stuck at work in front of a computer and can't watch on TV), there is live streaming on ESPN3. Who's your pick to win it all? We always like to give a root to our hometown boy Zach Johnson.
New rumors are flying around new MacBook Air, some sources said that Apple Inc ready to selling this MacBook Air in late June with 380,000 units as the first shipment. And it may come with Apple's newest operating system, Lion OS X, as well as new Sandy Bridge processors.
MacBook Air released
CNET reports that Deutsche Bank analyst Chris Whitmore wrote as much in a note circulated via email: "Our checks suggest a forthcoming MacBook Air refresh in July where we believe units could ramp to as high as 1.5M units per [quarter] or 50 percent of the MacBook business."
Whitmore noted that Lion could be a potentially strong upgrade with its more than 250 new features — including iCloud, full screen apps, Multi-Touch gestures and a redesigned Mail app — and coinciding with a "MacBook Air refresh."
Reuters is also carrying a report derived from Taiwan's "Economic Daily" that points to a shipment of 380,000 new MacBook Airs in late June. The last redesign of the MacBook Air came in October and was lighter, cheaper and had a better battery than its predecessor.
Still with MacBook Air
Apple Insider also cited another analyst who used the same numbers and affirmed the same development, and gave more details about the Sandy Bridge processors.
"Economic Daily" also published a rumor that the iPad 3 will have significantly better resolution than the iPad 2.
During the menopause transition years, as the body responds to the rapidly fluctuating and dropping levels of natural hormones, a number of effects may appear. Not every woman experiences bothersome levels of these effects; the range of effects and the degree to which they appear is very variable from person to person.
Effects that are due to low estrogen levels (for example vaginal atrophy and skin drying) will continue after the menopause transition years are over; however, many effects that are caused by the extreme fluctuations in hormone levels (for example hot flashes and mood changes) usually disappear or improve significantly once the perimenopause transition is completely over. All the various possible perimenopause effects are caused by an overall drop, as well as dramatic but erratic fluctuations, in the absolute levels and relative levels of estrogens and progesterone. Some of the effects, such as formication (crawling, itching, or tingling skin sensations), may be associated directly with hormone withdrawal.
Both users and non-users of hormone replacement therapy identify lack of energy as the most frequent and distressing effect.[17] Other effects can include vasomotor symptoms such as hot flashes and palpitations, psychological effects such as depression, anxiety, irritability, mood swings, memory problems and lack of concentration, and atrophic effects such as vaginal dryness and urgency of urination.
The average woman also has increasingly erratic menstrual periods, due to skipped ovulations. Typically, the timing of the flow becomes unpredictable. In addition the duration of the flow may be considerably shorter or longer than normal, and the flow itself may be significantly heavier or lighter than was previously the case, including sometimes long episodes of spotting. Early in the process it is not uncommon to have some 2-week cycles. Further into the process it is common to skip periods for months at a time, and these skipped periods may be followed by a heavier period. The number of skipped periods in a row often increases as the time of last period approaches. At the point when a woman of menopausal age has had no periods or spotting for 12 months, she is considered to be one year into post-menopause.
One way of assessing the impact on women of some of these menopause effects is the Greene Climateric Scale questionnaire.
Vascular instability
Hot flashes or hot flushes, including night sweats and, in a few people, cold flashes
Possible but contentious increased risk of atherosclerosis

Dryness
Bleeding
Watery discharge
Urinary frequency
Urinary incontinence
Urinary urgency
Increased susceptibility to inflammation and infection, for example vaginal candidiasis, and urinary tract infections

Decreased elasticity of the skin
Formication (itching, tingling, burning, pins and needles, or sensation of ants crawling on or under the skin)
Skin thinning and becoming drier
Dyspareunia or painful intercourse
Decreased libido
Problems reaching orgasm
Vaginal dryness and vaginal atrophy
Studies On Menopause
Cohort studies have reached mixed conclusions about medical conditions associated with the menopause. For example, a 2007 study found that menopause was associated with hot flashes; joint pain and muscle pain; and depressed mood. In the same study, it appeared that menopause was not associated with poor sleep, decreased libido, and vaginal dryness. However, in contrast to this, a 2008 study did find an association with poor sleep quality.
Tablet Chrome OS | Google Chrome OS Tablet | Google Tablet - Google says that they are still going to focus on Chrome OS for notebooks, no plans to get this Chrome OS into tablets.
Google is currently working hard to compete in the world of PC operating systems, because as we know the sales market was dominated by Microsoft Corp., which until now Windows used by 90 percent of PC around the world.
What is Google Chrome OS
"The number of users of Chrome OS has doubled from last year to approximately 160 million," said Sundar Pichai, Google's senior vice president for Chrome, the PC at the Computex Show in Taipei, Taiwan.
"ChromeOS is designed from a variety of factors, but we are now fully focused only do it for notebooks. We do not have other plans (about Google Chrome OS)," Pichai said.
Google Chrome OS support
Notebook that will be wearing the Chrome OS will be sold starting in June, and made ??by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. and Acer Inc.. This Chrome OS as the new Goolgle products are said to be a challenger for Microsoft and Apple Inc.
However, later the number of notebook devices that use the Chrome OS is still very small on their production.
"Google has made Chrome OS center in Taiwan. In the future we hope to reach more co-distributors for other regions,"said Pichai. By this we can make any speculation that Google Chrome OS as another big job for Google on challenge Microsoft and Apple.
Bachelorette: Ashley Hebert Courts 25 Men On 'The Bachelorette'
Ashley Hebert makes her debut as "The Bachelorette" in the seventh season opener Monday night, along with a crop of 25 buff--probably shirtless--guys vying for her hand in marriage.
The rowdy bunch includes at least one divorced man, 28-year-old Bentley, whom Hebert expresses reservations about before he even steps out of the limo.
"I'm very concerned that some of the guys aren't coming on here for me or the possibility of falling in love," Hebert tells host Chris Harrison before meeting the contenders. "I spoke to a past contestant, somebody that I was close to in the house, and they made me aware that someone that's coming on the show is here for not a good intention...she's friends with his ex-wife. His name is Bentley."
Hebert has a change of heart after meeting Bentley, and decides she's going to disregard her friend's warning. Her initial instincts may have been right, as Bentley reveals in a concessional interview that he has a strategy to "win" the show: "My strategy going into this is to talk to her about what I’m feeling about my daughter and missing her and then I’m going to win," he says.
Later in the episode, Bentley decides that he's not interested in Ashley.
"The competition makes it exciting and competing for her and that’s I think the extent of where I am in my interest in her," he says. "I can tell you right now it’s not going to work. I, to be honest with you, could almost care less. Things could have turned out differently if the bachelorette was Emily."
Will he stick around to pursue his own personal ambitions? Guess we'll have to tune in to find out.
Sexually transmitted diseases are contracted when people engage in sexual intercourse with many partners indiscriminately without getting to know them and their sexual pasts, especially in cases where such intercourse happens without the aid of prophylactic protection. It is not necessary for sexually transmitted diseases to spread; even skin to skin contact or contact with towels or bed linens can be enough for some of the diseases to spread from person to person.
The Many Types of STDs and Their Symptoms
Some common sexually transmitted diseases are Genital warts, crab lice, scabies, the clap, and syphilis, Chlamydia, Herpes, Hepatitis B and HIV which leads to AIDS. Some of the diseases can cause fatalities or infertility in both the sexes and most of the symptoms are vague and can be very easily missed or mistaken for something else. So it is quite difficult to recognize the symptoms of these diseases at an early stage.
Human Papillovirus: HPV causes most of the common sexually transmitted diseases in general, including genital warts, which might later lead to cancer of the cervix or the anus. There are no significant symptoms for the warts.
Pubic Lice: Pubic lice or crabs are lice that are an infestation of the pubic area and are different from the head lice; usual symptoms like itching and crawling feeling associated with head lice are present in this infestation.
Scabies: Scabies is an itchy infestation caused by mites that burrow under the human skin to lay its eggs. Symptoms are intense itching, especially at nights with pimple like rashes.
Chlamydia: This is generally non-symptomatic in most people; usual symptoms include burning while urination, discharge from the penis and vagina, pelvic inflammatory lesions, leading to malignant lesions occasionally.
Genital Herpes: This disease can exhibit symptoms like blisters, bumps and sores on the genital areas in both men and women, along with vaginal discharge; sometimes there can be associated pain in the legs, buttocks and the genital areas. Symptoms can appear, then disappear and then re-appear in many cases. Though there is no cure, there are medications available to relieve symptoms.
Gonorrhea: This is another sexually transmitted disease which displays symptoms like bloody or yellow color discharge accompanied by pain and burning. But many men show no symptoms and while the disease can be completely cured if caught early, it can also be recurring.
Hepatitis B: This can also be sexually transmitted; it shows symptoms like head ache, muscle ache, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite. Dark colored yellowish urine and pale smelly bowel output are indicative of Hepatitis B; about 30% of those with the disease display no symptoms, so it is difficult to diagnose. With the widespread use of Hepatitis B vaccination in children, it is slowly disappearing.
HIV: HIV infection, and the resultant AIDS can be contracted even with the exchange of bodily fluids or by use of the same needle amongst drug users, some of whom may already be infected. Even a single sexual contact can be enough for the HIV to spread from person to person; there is also transmission of the disease from parent to child. However even for up to a decade after contracting the virus, there can be no symptoms; only when it develops into AIDS, the symptoms start appearing. Some common symptoms in both sexes include fatigue, yeast infections, vaginal infections and pelvic infections.
Syphilis: This is another sexually transmitted disease which can be fatal if left untreated; it takes about 2 to 6 weeks for the infection to develop when first contracted; in the primary stage, there are sore spots on the hands and palms; left untreated it progresses to the second stage and symptoms can be skin rashes that clear by themselves and then re-appear. Other symptoms include fever, sore throat, swollen lymph glands, headaches, weight loss and muscular weakness. In the later stages, the symptoms disappear but the infection remains and can lead to damage to the nerves, brain, heart, blood vessels, liver and joints. In the final stages, gradual blindness, dementia, paralysis, numbness and possible death can occur.
If you are sexually active with many partners, especially without prior knowledge about their sexual history, then the best way to protect yourself is to go for regular screening. In high risk groups like drug users, it is imperative to get regular screening done frequently.
LinkedIn IPO Is Biggest Since Google's--But Is It Too Big?
UPDATE: LinkedIn shares, under the symbol LNKD, increased 84 percent when trading started Thursday morning on the New York Stock Exchange, debuting at $83 a share and hitting $90 a share. That places LinkedIn's value at around $7.5 billion.
PREVIOUSLY: The initial public offering for LinkedIn, a career-oriented social networking site, marks the biggest Internet company IPO since Google went public in 2004.
Shares of the eight year-old company, which made just $15.4 million in 2010, were priced at $45 apiece, bringing the company's total estimated market value to around $4.25 billion, around $1 billion higher than initial estimates. The valuation makes LinkedIn worth more than well-heeled companies such as Kodak and RiteAid.
Previously derided as a "Facebook for losers," LinkedIn's sky-high valuation suggests founder Reid Hoffman--now reportedly worth over $800 million--may be having the last laugh. At the same time however, it raises questions about the sustainability of these web businesses, and whether the bubble could burst.
So are investors paying far too much for LinkedIn--essentially a modern Rolodex--and will the company come to look less like Google, which continues to rake in cash, and more like the failed web firms of the 1990s?

The night monkeys, also known as the owl monkeys or douroucoulis, are the members of the genus Aotus of New World monkeys (monotypic in family Aotidae). They are widely distributed in the forests of Central and South America, from Panama south to Paraguay and northern Argentina. The species that live at higher elevations tend to have thicker fur than the monkeys at sea level. The genus name means "earless"; they have ears, of course, but the external ears are tiny and hard to see. Night monkeys have big brown eyes and therefore have increased ability to be active at night. They are called night monkeys because all species are active at night and are in fact the only truly nocturnal monkeys (an exception is the subspecies Aotus azarae azarae, which is cathemeral). Both male and female Night Monkeys weigh almost the same amount. For example, in one of these Night Monkeys, A. azarae, the male weighs 2.76 pounds while the female weighs 2.75 pounds.
Night monkeys make a notably wide variety of vocal sounds, with up to eight categories of distinct calls (gruff grunts, resonant grunts, screams, low trills, moans, gulps, sneeze grunts and hoots), and a frequency range of 190-1,950 Hz. Unusual among the New World monkeys, they are monochromats, that is, they have no colour vision, presumably because it is of no advantage given their nocturnal habits. They have a better spatial resolution at low light levels than other primates which contributes to their ability to capture insects and move at night.
All night monkeys form pair bonds, and live in family groups of the mated pair with their immature offspring. Family groups defend territories by vocal calls and scent marking. Only one infant is born each year. The male is the primary caregiver, and the mother only carries the infant for the first week or so of its life.
Night monkeys constitute one of the few monkey species that are affected by the often deadly human malaria protozoan Plasmodium falciparum, making them useful as non-human primate experimental models in malaria research.
